2025 National Convention Clinical Skills Competition 

Presented by the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) & Kroger Company

The National Clinical Skills Competition (CSC) is a premier event where SNPhA student pharmacists from across the nation showcase their clinical knowledge, patient assessment, pharmaceutical care planning, presentation, and counseling skills. If you have any questions, please contact National VP,  Dr. Ashley Addison (vicepresident@snpha.org)



Only one member per team needs to register the entire team. 

Awards

  • 1st Place: Cash prize + SNPhA lapel pin

  • 2nd Place: Cash prize + SNPhA lapel pin
  • 3rd Place: Cash prize + SNPhA lapel pin

Competition Details

  • Date: Friday, August 1 & Saturday, August 2, 2025
    • Preliminary Round: August 1 (Care Plan Submission).
    • Final Round: August 2 (Presentation, Q&A, Counseling).
  • Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (SNPhA National Convention)
  • Winner Announcement: Sunday, August 3, 2025, during the Closing Banquet

Competition Format

  • Teams of two compete by analyzing patient cases and medication profiles.

  • Tasks include identifying drug therapy problems, developing care plans, presenting cases, and conducting counseling sessions.

Eligibility 

  • Open exclusively to P3 and P4 students (Class of 2026 & 2027).
    • Disclaimer: Due to historically low participation from first-year pharmacy students in previous years, there will be no divisions this year. Participation is limited exclusively to third- and fourth-year students from the Class of 2026 and Class of 2027.
  • Must be current SNPhA members and enrolled full-time in a PharmD program.
  • Recent graduates (Class of 2025) and licensed pharmacists are not eligible!
